Kathy Hughes - Your real estate expert!
Kathy obtained her real estate license in 1975 and has been a real
estate dynamo ever since, successfully listing and selling over 2000 properties
of all types. Her list of completed transactions
include vacant land, commercial properties, income properties, condominiums and
single-family residences ranging in size from cottages, to Hope Ranch and
Montecito Estates.

From 1975 through 1984 Kathy was a Realtor Associate with a local
firm. Then with 10 years of experience,
Kathy was a co-owner of her own brokerage company, Hughes Co. Realtors. In 1991 she sold her company to Prudential
California Realty. In 2012 Prudential joined
Berkshire Hathaway Home Services and now is the brand recognized world wide as
the company to trust!
Kathy has been honored with numerous awards throughout her career, as a
top producer, for service to her clients and the community, but one of her most
treasured honors is the Good Neighbor Award she received The Santa Barbara
Association of Realtors stating: “For your extraordinary gifts of joy, humor,
guidance and peace to people in all walks of life. You are an inspiration to your friends and
peers.” What it all comes down to is Kathy is an incredibly hard worker, a
talented and successful real estate agent, but what matters most to her are
people! She is respected by her peers, and appreciated by and endeared to her
clients. Hard work and dedication are the
cornerstone of Kathy’s work ethic.
In her free-time
Kathy enjoys spending time hiking, gardening, going to the beach, camping in
National Parks and other wilderness destinations around the United States. She loves her 2 labradoodles “Joy” and
“Sunshine”. Live music is another
favorite pastime of Kathy’s, when asked what her favorite band is, it’s hard
for her to pick one- “My favorite band is that last concert I attended”, so
that changes several times per month!
She’s a loyal friend who sincerely cares about everyone she meets!
